Congratulations to Abbie Powell and Ava Kingsley! They have been nominated for a Sutton Foster Award for best leading performer in a musical. Her nomination was earned for their portrayals of Sylvia (Abbie) and Miss Sandra (Ava) in "All Shook Up!" They will compete with other students from all over the State of Michigan for the honor of representing Michigan at the Jimmy Awards in New York. Well done!
German Exchange students have had a busy first three days! They toured their hosts' school (Gymnasiales Schulzentrum Fritz Reuter Dömitz); attended math, English, and German classes, with some even writing a poem in German; had a welcome picnic with our exchange families; had a student outing to Hamburg on the train; and had a sunny Sunday catching up on sleep, relaxing, and bowling. Tomorrow they head back to school and kick off a week of adventures!
